Sail Date: Jul 2011

It was the wrong time for us to cruise. We are in our 60's and July 2011 was school holiday time and there were many children on board. Children running up the hallways while we had a nap was disturbing. Trying to dance on the dance floor with toddlers running around was dangerous to the kids.

This was a 12 night cruise but on 4 nights there wasn't a show instead we had passengers called onto the stage & interviewed..... enjoyable but not a show. Also on other cruises we had 2 shows per night (early show & late show) despite 4,500 passengers we had ONE at 10.30pm. & on 4 nights no Show. One night we had to argue with 2 youngsters who "reserved 8 seats in the theatre" Despite it's increased size there doesn't seem to be much public space. We much preferred Carnival Pride & Miracle with less passengers.

Something has to be done regarding the lounges on the open Lido deck; by 9am. every morning every lounge is reserved by passengers throwing a towel on one then going away; which means they reserve lounges then go away for as long as they like.

Cabin Review

We found deck 6 on Carnival Magic noisy as we could hear live music until late at night. ( We went to a future cruise talk & the Carnival spokesman said that on this ship Deck 6 is noisy)
