Sail Date: Jan 2005

Port of Galveston: It seems that they are really figuring out how to get you onboard promptly. We arrived around 1:30 p.m., and were exploring the ship by 2:05 p.m. despite what looked like a pretty formidable line ... it moves! Folks, read your documents, fill them out BEFORE you get to the counter.

Weather: Chilly in Galveston on departure day. Seas were mild chop so a little bit of motion. Monday partly cloudy, cool but better than what most of the nation was experiencing. Tuesday: Relatively cool for Key West, but again, we were on a cruise, so not too many complaints. The rest of the week: Mild, low 80s mostly sunny.

Food: RCI has stepped up. The menus were varied, the quality has improved in a year. Last year it was good this year, it was very good.
