First time for us - two female friends of a certain age from the UK.

From the outset the staff of NCL made us feel welcome and special. Embarkation was smoothly and efficiently achieved and we were soon able to access our stateroom and feel at home. Without exception the staff were polite and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Our stateroom stewardess, Jill, was very conscientious and amused us with the 'towel sculptures' she left on the beds each day. The Shore Excursions were all very interesting, the only questionable one was to the Hermitage in St Petersburg where the local guide did not allow us time to explore on our own and treated us like wayward children.

On board we dined each evening in Four Seasons (our favourite) and Seven Seas restaurants after pre dinner drinks and mellow musical entertainment in the Observation Lounge. We went to the evening show in the Stardust Lounge every night and found the standard to be very high.
