We arrived at Southampton at 12.15 and check in was great no queue we went straight on board and were eating lunch within half an hour which was great.

After we had eaten we went to see our cabin which was dissapointing to say the least despite the re-fit on the grand princess the cabins had not been touched and are showing there age and look very tired. The bathroom especially was very cramped and in places looked grubby due to its age. Although the cabin was clean it is definitely the worst cabin we've had. Its a bit annoying that you cant view your account in your stateroom like most other ships, everytime we wanted to keep an eye on our spending we had to go the the desk and ask them to print it out.

Public areas looked ok especially the new Atrium, shops, bar and restaurant areas. The buffet area was very small comparing to other ships we have been on and selection was limited however having said this we never had to queue, we had to walk around to find a seat sometimes but we always found one.
