My husband and I both in our early 50's. This was my 28th cruise, and DH's 24th. This sailing was a special one for us as we decided to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary aboard the Caribbean Princess. We booked this cruise a little over 1 year before the sail date.

On Saturday July 16th we flew from San Jose, CA to Reagan Airport in Washington DC for a few days of sightseeing prior to the cruise. Washington is such a stunning city, clean, excellent restaurants, and easy to navigate locations, whether you are walking or taking the Hop On/Hop Off bus as we did. We stayed at The Quincy on L Street NW which is a boutique hotel conveniently located close to the White House. The hotel is really modern and nice. The staff is super friendly. A short 3-5 minute walk will bring you to a couple of great breakfast establishments. The Corner Bakery is outstanding, and the Au Bon Pain is a good alternative for reasonably priced meals. We also ate at Luigi's Restaurant on 19th St which is around the corner from the Hotel, and open till 11:00 pm. My DH loved the Pizza there, and I really enjoyed the Caesar Salad, and soup. For lunch one day we went to Moby Dick House of Kabob on Connecticut Ave NW,which is highly rated on Yelp. What a fantastic find! We also dined at Bertucci's also on Connecticut Ave NW. All of the places are very close to The Quincy.

B338 - Good location, but lousy cabin due to drain pipe noise on the balcony.
