Since I received so much benefit from reading these reviews prior to my cruise, I decided to contribute in an effort to help future NCL Spirit cruisers. So here it is:

Embarkation—It went very smoothly. We parked in the cruise terminal, and from the very beginning we were made to feel very welcome by the gentlemen that helped us with our luggage. I believe that it cost us $112 for the week to park there—but it was very convenient. After dropping off the luggage and walking into the terminal, we were directed as to where to go, and then we purchased the soft drink packages for our kids. While we were in the terminal, we went ahead and made restaurant reservations after learning that lobster would be served on Sunday night in the main dining rooms. We did not want to miss lobster.

Exploring the ship—Not being one of the largest ships, it was fairly easy to understand the layout of the ship. If we ever got confused, there were maps posted near the elevators or one of the staff members would help us. As for what our favorite part of the ship was as we like peace and quiet—we tried out the quiet sunning area on the front of the ship on deck 13, but it was too windy. We then found the promenade (an outside wooden deck) on deck 7—which we really enjoyed. It had lounge chairs, was shady and fairly quiet—a great reading area.
