As a first time cruiser the family thought we'd try a shortish holiday from Southampton.
This meant either the Fjords or Northern Europe and we thought Northern Europe would offer more for or teenagers so we opted for MSC. After booking I started reading very, very bad reviews about the ship but as far as we were concerned they were all untrue
We arrive at 12.30 and by 13.10 the car was parked, check in complete and we were in our stateroom- Excellent service
The ship was magnificent. Gleaming and elegant
Entertainment was good, food excellent, ports interesting but the weather terrible-- Very rough seas for several days- Not MSC's fault but I'd hope for better in July
All in all a good holiday which could have been a great weather with sunshine and calm seas
Port Review: La Rochelle-- It rained and cost 9 Euros PP to get there. Bilboa Interesting and sunny 12 Euro to get to city. La Coruna Interesting. Cherbourg 7 Euro shuttle a bit of a rip of Cite de La Mer very Good
