Getting on the ship: We arrived at the port terminal at 10:30 am. Which looking back was not a bad idea, but we did not get on the ship til 1-1:30pm. It seemed to take a long time for them to let us on the ship. The Disney cruise agent we spoke with on the phone swore that we would get on by noon if we arrived before 11. We read reviews and knew going in to it that it would take a while....guess what....Disney rep was wrong....reviews were right. Funny thing that the Disney rep argued with me on the phone about the review.

Once on board: They feed you right away, which was great. Bags do not arrive to your room door until about 4-5pm. Bring a day bag filled with change of clothes....bathing suit...sunscreen etc.

Service: Is outstanding...from the guys squeegeing the pool decks all day...to the guys and gals working the bars and restaurants. The food was fantastic...great taste and lots of flavor. These people go out of their way to ensure you are having a great vacation.

Kids activities: My son is 4 and had a blast in the kids clubs, as well as the kids slide, NEMO water park, and was just 42 inches to make the height requirement for the Aqua Duck...which was a blast...the line for it averages 30-45 min...when in port and during the first dinner seating it is about 15-20 min long. Needless to say our son was exoughsted when we got home.

Bad things: The only thing that makes it go a little bad are some of the other cruisers...rude behavior and just a poor sense of entitlement...its their vacation and no one elses....but these people stick out like a sore thumb.

Pools are small...lots of people cramming into them. The kids pool is great for the kids...about 1 ft to 2.5 ft deep..shaped like Mickey. Its a lot of fun as long as the older kids 10 and up learn to swim and go into the big pool. Parents as well feel that its ok to sit in the pool and take up a lot of room then get mad that the little kids are splashing them. A lot of poor parental judgement!

Accomodations: We had a family ocean view stateroom...it was plenty big for the three of us...little tight if there are 4 but none the less you're just there to get cleaned up and sleep. The only thing we would change about this is we would have gotten a room with a verandah...My wife and I wanted to enjoy a drink or 2 while relaxing at the sound of the ocean after dinner and a show except our son was asleep by 10:30-11 every night. So we were forced to go to bed as well...no baby sitters...unless you leave your child in the kids club. But a sleepy child is a grumpy child.

Entertainment: All of the plays/shows were simply fantastic...these actors and actresses were very talented and Disney quality.

If you are board or hungry on this ship its your own fault!

I hope this review helps...have fun!

Our steward was on the ball...room was spotless every day. He went above and beyond...of couorse the $20 spot at the start of the cruise might have helped. Use the in room safe...lets face it...locks keep honest people honest.

Port and Shore Excursions

Port
We stayed on the boat for this...we had been there before and decided it was not wiorth the money to do it again. A lot of the other cruisers did, and that left the boat all to us...the Aqua Duck was all but empty and we had three runs on it in less than an hour.
