Nothing to do with the menus served before in Carnival ships and other Cruise Lines. The " cutting corners" in cost was so obvious. I would rather pay a little more and get the good food we were used to have than have this poor excuse of a menu selection.( mini filet mignon-complimented with a short rib (?)..... a small lobster tail and an addition of 3 shrimps...... No sirloin steak, instead they serve a "Flat Iron Steak" (?)
On Carnival's website they have a set of 7 day sample menus:
1)on days one and three they say they serve NEW YORK STEAK
2)on days two and seven they say they serve ROASTED PRIME RIB OF BEEF
3)on days four, five and six they say they serve FILET OF BEEF
DONT LOOK FOR THEM
The only way to get a good steak on board is at their Steakhouse and you have to pay EXTRA.
Stateroom Quality :Check the mattress!! Ours had a dip in the center you could'nt sleep.
Service Staff Quality:they made us forget what we were eating, they were almost all of them EXCELLENT
Entertainment & Activities :Nothing new ,the same old stuff We call it CANNED entertainment. Imagine , we had to live it for the two weeks ( two back to back cruises)
Ship Quality :We loved her in 2006 so we sailed with her again
