We just returned from a wonderful cruise to Norway on the Celebrity Constellation. It was our third cruise with Celebrity. It seems this is our favourite cruise line so far. We have also cruised with Holland America Line and Royal Caribbean before, but our favourite cruises have all been with Celebrity ships (Century, Equinox).
We had a sky suite on the Penthouse deck. It was a very lovely cabin. The 1st day we were shocked to see that the rescue boats are right below the sky suites' balconies. But after a few days it didn't matter anymore. We hardly noticed it, and it was quite pleasant to watch the crew drill from our balcony.
The food in the San Marco restaurant and the Bistro on 5 is excellent. The available wines are very good, although a little expensive. We also ate in the Seaside Grill restaurant. We loved having lunch there, but recommend other restaurants for dinner. The view in the Seaside Grill is breathtaking. We went there one evening and sat there for hours watching the midnight sun.
The crew on the Constellation is very friendly and polite.
The most stunning is the ship's entertainment in the theater. We have never seen such great performances and shows on other cruise ships before. We highly recommend you go see them!
The fitness room is huge and has all the equipment for an excellent workout.
The shops have a nice range of tax free products, Do take advantage of that! The prices on board the ship are much cheaper than in regular stores.
We also recommend the Constellation for people who get a little seasick. I sometimes get seasick, but I didn't on this ship. It really was a very smooth sailing.
It is hard to find anything negative concerning the Constellation. It is just a very lovely ship! The only thing we didn't really like are the shore excursions. They were kinda chaotic and expensive. So in one port we decided to organise our own excursion with the local tourist office which worked out really well.
Disembarkation went really fast and easy.
We are already looking into doing another cruise on this ship as we really enjoyed our cruise with the Constellation very much.
