We are Platinum level members on Princess. This is the first cruise that we have taken where cost-saving measures are becoming obvious.

1. The Grand staircase carpet was threadbare in places.

2. The Sabattini dining room food was still excellent but the service and ambiance had become merely acceptable. Nothing like 2 years ago and before with hoards of waiters serving everything from antipasto and pasta as samplers with flourish and pizzazz. Now it's mundane - and as inspired as the dining room.

Smaller than I expected after being in similar cabins on the Grand/Emerald/Sapphire. Otherwise a typical balcony cabin.

The shower space is miserly and if you're significantly overweight, you probably wouldn't enjoy the experience.
