We have travelled many times before never with the same cruise line as we are still looking for the ideal cruise ship. Each one offers something more or less than the others.
All in all our experience aboard Island Escape was a pleasant surprise.
Old , Old Ship? Yes
Shabby cabin? Yes We had a deluxe balcony, it was like a flash back to the 60's Love Boat!
Food? Pretty regular except when we ate in the dining room at an extra cost and that was excellent.
But the whole experience was made by the fabulous staff.They were all so friendly and welcoming , they really made us feel part of one big happy family and went out of their way to compensate for the shortfall of the ship.
I can understand why many people repeat with Thomson, we would definitely go with them again, but on a different ship!!
