We have just returned from a back to back on the NCL Jade. The ship is lovely. We enjoy the freestyle of NCL and eat in the buffet for most of our meals. The buffet was good with many choices. There were some very helpful and friendly staff members. We enjoy trivia, dancing and the casino. The staff members at those activities were outstanding. The dealers in the casino are friendly and helpful, if you need help. The cruise director staff, especially JJ, Jonathan and Gabi, were friendly and energetic and seem to enjoy their jobs.aThere wasn't a disco, they used the smaller theater for that. This is not my favorite set up for me. When I was on the ship, there were many children, of all ages. Most of these children, and parents, were very rude. The children were everywhere until all hours. The ports are fantastic. We especially enjoyed Athens on a tour with Spiros. He was outstanding. He is fluent in English, very knowledgeable and he adds many small touches to make the day special. Also, we had a wonderful tour guide in Ephesus. He was knowledgeable and friendly and made the day a highlight. We spent the day in Mykonos on a day pass to a wonderful hotel with a spa, beach and pool. It was beautiful. We did the cable car and our own walkaround in Santorini. I might recommend an excursion there, but our day cost half, if not less, to do it on our own. We took the bus to Oia. The tours take you there. We did not do the donkeys, but walked down the path. It was very dirty and the donkeys will bump and push you. I had heard that the donkeys were not so nice to the riders either, but it is an experience that you have to decide that you want to have under your belt or not. The proprietor of a restaurant we went to said to take the donkeys up, not down, that was why we walked. It is a very difficult, smelly and slippery walk. We did a tour of Olympia. It also was very convenient and worthwhile from Katakalon. We did Corfu on our own. It is a 15 minute walk from the port.
