Embarkation: My wife and I booked this cruise through Celebrity's website one year in advance. We opted for Celebrity to make the air and ground transfer arrangements which was a big mistake. Even though we booked a year in advance and paid in full on time, Celebrity reserved us two non-adjoining seats for the cross-country flight to Miami. After seven hours of flying, the Celebrity airport representative put us on a 45 minute bus ride to Fort Lauderdale. I highly suggest you make your own air arrangements and fly into the Fort Lauderdale airport which is less than five minutes away from the pier.

Cabin: We booked a Suite with butler service. The suite was large and featured a whirlpool bathtub. The veranda accommodated three chairs and was a great photo platform. We really appreciated the perks that came with staying in a suite including priority baggage delivery, free use of the Thelasotherapy spa, and being the first group let off the ship on the last day. Our butler was worthless. The only time we saw him was when he delivered snacks daily at 4 p.m. He never offered to help us, never gave us any information about the ship or the ports and never bothered to learn our names. He was, however, visibly upset when he received a small tip at the end of the cruise. Our maid was excellent. She went out of her way to clean our cabin twice a day and did little extras here and there. She was always friendly in passing in the hallways. Aside from the "butler service" I highly recommend booking a suite due to its amenities.

Dining: The food was very good. Aside from the main restaurant, there were always free alternative options which was a plus for us since we are younger, more active people. The service in the poolside cafes and buffets were great. The service in the main dinning room at dinner time was slow. The wait staff seemed to have too many tables and not enough time to give everyone attention. The dress code for dinner is not enforced. I never saw a maitre d' turn away any of the inappropriately dressed guests. Only about a third of the men wore tuxedos or dark suits on formal night. Most of the guests were of the senior citizen age bracket and they wore whatever they felt like regardless.
