Mariner Of The Seas - Wonderful & Amazing
This was only our 2nd cruise, however we loved the 1st so much this is only 1 month later!!

It is amazing how many people you hear have done so many cruises. 1 guy 72, another couple 53 in 10 years!! amazing! Show's how good cruising is even for people of our age. I am 34/35 on this cruise and the good lady slightly older.

Arrived in Rome, got the coach which was well organised to the ship. On arrival we waited on the coach with air con as was busy inside. nice touch!

WHen you get into the terminal building it is always hectic and caotic.. however when you are through that, we went straight our room to freshen up slightly before getting to Windjammer for lunch. This is bigger than the Grandeur and possibly not as nicely laid out but still an enjoyable place to be as its on the 11th floor so fantastic views in port.

The Promonade on the ship is really a great hub for people to sit out in Vintages Wine bar if you don't like smoking *we dont* or the Pig and Wavel ( i tihnk the name was) which is an english bar... good atmosphere in the evenings :-)

There are 5 or 6 shops selling the same old things, which to be honest are not much interest to us, but is good to look around on Sea Days...

The Ellingtons bar on the 14th floor is fantastic, over looking the pool area and being soo high get to see amazing views whether in port or at sea. Lovely and cool to chill out and relax and people watch.

The Savoy theatre is amazing, there are a few points that you cannot see so get there early and chose your seats well. Just the right size to create a good atmosphere.

Studio B is awesome for ice scating or watching a show... really enjoyed the ice show and quest game (for this be prepared to have fun).

Spent most nights in the casino with our table friends and on the whole the staff were fantastic, even with us as we had the soda package the waiters don't get a tip but it was never a hassle to get us a drink :-) We did drink alcahol but it is bloomin expensive 2 cocktails are $20 easily!! A beer is £8 all plus 15%.... so be prepared.

Dinning room was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful ... food was better this time than on the Grandeur all be it a very similar menu.

We did go to Chops grill twice and is worth the $30 each fee. The porterhouse steak is amazing and the Creme Brulee :-) mmmm stupid thing is you can still order more than one starter and desert, don't is its bloomin filling as it is...!!

All in all great experience... A few members of staff on the ship are plain and seem not interested, however maybe this is just because the others are soo good :-)
