We sailed on the June 29 - July 6 cruise out of Seward, southbound to Vancouver. While we have cruised three other times this was our first Regent trip. Our first Regent experience was OUTSTANDING in almost every way. We took the scenic train from Anchorage to Seward. A beautiful ride through spectacular country. We checked into the ship while on the train so when we arrived in Seward we proceeded right to our suite where we were immediately greeted by our butler who insured our suite was in order and our every need was met......something he did for the duration of our cruise.

Yes, like every cruise (or trip) there were some glitches or things that didn't go accordingly to plan. The entire staff of the Navigator went out of their way to remedy any minor problem or issue. I'm not smart enough to know whether the Navigator is a 4 or 5 or 6 star ship. What we do know is that our trip was truly first class including the cabin, food, staff, service, wine and ports. Our hats off to Terry Breen our naturist whose commentary and narration was a great addition to our trip.

On a side note, we stayed four nights in Vancouver at the Sutton Place Hotel. A true "don't miss" hotel. Great hotel in a great location in a great city.

Penthouse Suite

We were on Deck 10, a butler suite with a great location. Deck 10 has the La Veranda buffet as well as the pool, pool bar and outdoor lunch area. A great central location. We noticed none of the vibration issues some other reviews have described.
