Our expectations we not high as we knew it was an older ship with not such great ports. With that said we were pleasantly surprised. The decor & appearance of the ship was nice typical Carnival. Thought some of the public areas were unique when walking by but unfortunately never really had a draw/activity for us to use them during the day or eve. Loved the fake palm trees on the deck and nautical flags across the deck. Which leads me to the BUT ... This ship has 1 POOL for 2,000+ people which because of some issue was closed at least some part of every day onboard!!!! Needless to say it was wall to wall standing room in the pool when it was open. Lots of deck and chairs but we do not enjoy just laying out in sun so a big negative for our family. The big tunnel side on rear deck was good looking but not fun for anyone say over 125 lbs because of low water flow , you got stuck 1/2 way down. Little tiny kids were ok but us adults and my boys gave it a big thumbs down.Food and service suited us fine. Only saw 1st show , an 80's theme , I think called "Far from Over" and thought it was really good. Saw 1 show of each comedians and thought both very crude but to each his own humor.Embark & Debark was a breeze!! Kudos to JAX port. Enjoyed the almost 2 hours of sail-away to ocean...be sure to be on forward upper deck for going under the bridge!Other notes~ take power strip only 1 plug at mirror (pain to keep resetting clock). Saw several carrying on cases of own water & beverages at embark!
