Ship Facts: Oasis of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Oasis of the Seas Deck Plans
A Great Family Vacation
My family and I have been on six other cruises, so we kinda thought we new what to expect. The Oasis is a really big ship. Royal Carribean got this one right. Plenty big enough to handle all 6200 passengers.

We flew a day early, Ft. Lauderdale was nice and a bit seedy, but we enjoyed ourselves. Beach was very nice. We left hotel at 11:00am, on boat by 12:00 embarkation was unbelievable. Hats off to Royal Carribbean, smooth and easy.

Rooms were ready at 1:00, had lunch at the Park Cafe on deck 8 ( central park ) must try their roast beef sandwich mmmm!! Kids went straight to flow rider at 1:00 ( good time to get waivers out of the way ) No lines kids had a ball.

Entertainment was top notch, Hair Spray was 1/2 hour to long but very good show, Aqua theater was amazing, comediens ( over 18 shows ) were very good ect.. Best relaxing moment was sitting out in aqua theater after dinner and watched a movie on their two humungous screens ( dried out the liver a bit and relaxed the stomach if you no what I mean ). Cruise director and staff did a really nice job with their shows, Quest, newlywed game, and 80"s dance party.

We had dinner in main dining room every night. Food was more than acceptable, service was perfect. Had most lunches at Park Place, never went to Windjammer.

Service overall was excellent, no matter if it was bartender waiter or cabin steward. Never saw an unhappy face.

Ports of call were Labadee ( which was done over, no tendering ) and was very different than the last time we were here. Zip Line is a must, coaster was ok, beach was relaxing. Jamaica took taxi to private resort, booked it ourselves. Resort was called Iberostar all inclusive, breathtaking and safe. Cozemel took fury catamaran, snorkel beach then Senor Frogs( adult beverages ) had a wonderful time.

The Boardwalk area on ship is beautiful but useless, yes there is a carosel, and stores which you need additional money for ( candy ice cream ect.. ) Two restarants Johnny Rockets and Seafood Shack never saw many people in them again had to pay extra. Plenty of other places to eat.

The Ship was amazing never thought is was to crowded, pool area was nice and never had trouble getting deck chairs. Promenade area was spacious and beautiful.

I would recommend this ship for a family vacation, yes it was a little pricey, but we all had a wonderful vacation!!!
