I had cruised on the Sovereign seven years ago, so when I was asked to join a friend on the Monarch for a three night cruise, I was more excited about catching up with my girlfriend than being on the Monarch. However, I was so overwhelmed by what was good about this cruise, that I didn't care about the other stuff.
Arrival & Embarkation: Piece of cake
Service: Exceptional
Entertainment: Entertaining!
Coco Cay Concierge Cabana: Awesome
Blue Lagoon Excursion: Never again
Food: Good enough, but they do need more help clearing tables in the Windjammer
Dancing: Yes! If you're not into club music, and like to dance, there were plenty of opportunities on this cruise, far more than on the seven day Carnival Dream. I loved the Salute to the 70's night, and the Village People (especially the Indian Chief!).
Crown & Anchor Welcome Reception: Sushi, martinis, buffet, nice!
Comedians: Hysterical
My Time Dining: Head Waiter and staff were eager to please.
Cruise Director: Chris Northey rocks!
