It was our first cruise on the Prinsendam and we were pleasantly surprised.
Our cabin was the largest we ever had on a ship with a walk-in closet. The food served in the dining room at dinner was always tasty and well prepared. There always was a nice selection to choose from. Actually the only disappointing dinner we had was in the Pinnacle Grill where the ordered steak was very poor. The Lido deck always had a nice selection for lunch as well as breakfast. Would have preferred the herrings for lunch rather than breakfast.
The sushi was ok, have eaten much better.
The activities program was enormous. The evening entertainment was not always to our taste, but that is to be expected on a smaller ship. The crow's nest had always some nice musical trivia going in the evening and was a very nice place to be going through the fjords in constant day light. Liked having a local band on board while going through the Kieler Kanal, as well as in Edinburgh. Murmansk had More not much to offer, except to show us how lucky we are living in the US.
As the excursions tend to be pricey we often go into town on our own.The port of Skolden we could have done without. There was nothing for non-hikers and the fjord took forever in the rain. Less

Cabin review: SB Neptune Suite with Verandah
As we were upgraded being 4 star mariners, our cabin was perfect with a walk-in closet and a large balcony. We were afraid of the noise from the Lido deck but heard nothing. In the past the moving of the lounges around the pool was a rather noisy affair.Read All Neptune Suite with Verandah (SB) Reviews >>
