I booked Concierge Class because of the perks - what the heck it was only a few hundred dollars more. We did not receive priority embarkation nor debarkation's as advertised nor were we given special access to our staterooms when we were finally permitted to board the ship. The ship is impressive - the staterooms are well appointed, the atrium truly magnificent. The food is good but not as good as it was 6 years ago. Sections of the ships personnel equalled the past but errors were not readily corrected - the laundry made 2 mistakes out of the 3 times I used them. The entertainment was OK but only one of the productions shows was truly exceptional - they should have all been of that calibre. They still do not interrupt your day with announcements - I like that. The ship was clean. The glass show is great and I went back several times. Tours were handled well, getting us on and off the ship. I purchased a drinks package - the premium package. I will never do that again. Given that you are off the ship on most days you would have to drink like a fish to make it pay for you. Shopping is more on the exclusive side. The concierge perks included a feather bed (very nice), larger towels (very nice), better linens (very nice), hors d'oeuvres (nice when I remembered to get back to my room to eat them), an umbrella (which came in handy one day) and shoe shines (never used - although I was not sure how to access that service). Celebrity runs neck and neck with Princess these days although as a single traveller I get a balcony for the price of an outside on Princess but how often do you actually use the balcony. Princess has a greater selection of destinations.
Great location on the ship, small closet and limited shelving, great bathroom and a fabulous shower stall, nice size balcony
