Ship Facts: Carnival Glory Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Glory Deck Plans
Glory not so Glorious
We booked this cruise as a family cruise to introduce our extended family to cruising. Probably should have chose another cruise. Here is an honest look at this particular cruise.

Embarkation - Not disappointed here. Staff was friendly and helpful and we needed help as our travel agent messed up our reservations. Also certain family members did not print out their boarding passes. Arrived around 11-11:30 and there was a small line that went fast. We waited about 15 min. to board. This was definitely a smooth embarkation.

Room - What you would expect of an inside cabin. Important lesson learned: Make sure do not book room above or below a bar or dance floor. Floor and ceilings appear to be paper thin as we could here every song sung in the bar.

Food - Average nothing special here. One particular day the chef was disappointing. everything we ordered was overcooked and under-seasoned. I would highly recommend the fish and chips from the buffet as it was really good. Everything else par. Very disappointed in the chocolate buffet that was held one afternoon. It was advertised as being until 3 but we arrived at 2:30 and they were already taking it down. also the dishes were not that impressive as what we hoped.

Ship - Very clean and majority of staff was very friendly. I had some issues with guest services. TV did not work most of trip and I stopped trying to get it fixed half-way through. The elevators were sub-par at best. Waited almost every time for one to open, often watching the elevator go right past our floor. Most of the time we got tired of waiting and took the steps. Also whoever designed ship must have been on drugs. Very difficult to navigate from front to back.

Ports - We stopped at St. John and Halifax. St. John boring and plan on walking A LOT. Halifax we booked Peggy's Cove and were not disappointed. Very scenic.

Overall, will not take another Canadian cruise again. I also was not impressed with the Glory. It needs a lot of work and frustrating to get around. Add onto this we had 4 days of continuous thick fog. very disappointed
