We sailed as a party of 52, celebrating various birthdays, anniversaries and achievements.
Good points - Excellent embarkation / disembarkation process. Overall decor. Powerful showers in room, decent sized balcony. Entertainment team (Graham Seymour). DreamWorks parade/show. Helpful cabin steward. Windjammer restaurant: freshly prepared food, helpful staff, tables cleared/cleaned quickly. Chops Grille. Champagne bar (Nicholas was v.helpful). Cigar lounge. Spa - friendly staff, fab manicures, facials and massage.
Bad points - Too crowded. Huge scrum for dinner, sunbeds, lifts and shows. Sunbeds covered with towels by 7.45am on sea days despite 'no saving' policy! Main dining room food mediocre at best (with the exception of the Indian entrees which were fabulous) and service was patchy BUT both improved as week went on. Carnival is far superior on the food front. Tables in the Promenade cafe and some drinking bars were cleared infrequently; remained laden with empty glasses / uneaten food! Photographers and photo shop staff often unhelpful and rude. Constant up-sell leaves a bad taste - Final "Goodbye" show basically a vehicle to sell the Cruise in Review Video.
