We arrived at the port in Baltimore around 11 a.m. and were onboard around 11:30. Embarkation was handled very well and went very smoothly. As expected, the rooms were not ready until 1:00, but the buffet was open as well as other parts of the ship.

Our room steward Lola was wonderful and very friendly. Our room was clean and ready and what we expected. The only disappointment in our room was our balcony. This is an older ship, so the balconies do not have as much glass as the newer ships. What we did not expect was the condition of the balcony. There was a fair amount of rust and the railings were very much in need of stain.

When booking we were told that early dinner was full and we were put into My Time Dining. I had booked our dinner reservations online prior to boarding - although the available times were very limited. I was under the impression that there would be something in our room indicating the time we were to eat every night - but that is not done. So if you use My Time Dining, be sure to write down your dinner times. We knew what time we were to eat the first night, so we went down to the dining room at that time. The line was quite long and moved rather slowly. We had asked to eat at a large table, but were taken to a table for 2. After asking, we were moved to a larger table. We typically ate at one of two tables throughout the cruise and with about 20 different rotating people that were very nice.
