Disappointing

Sail Date: June 2011
Destination: Bermuda
Embarkation: New York (Manhattan)

Ship is showing it's age. Furnishings are a bit threadbare (and I was in Concierge Class) . Peeling rails, stained decks and carpets. Constantly wandering repair crews fixing things.

Food worse compared to other (cheaper) cruises I have been on - generally tasteless meats, meals and deserts with a few good exceptions. Ate at Normandine restaurant. Excellent service, good wines, ok food. Lobster bisque and Lobster thermaodor were awful (made with mushrooms? Yuck!), other dishes were good.

Staff are pleasant and friendly. Cabin attendant ok but nothing special as on other trips and cruise lines. Entertainment is very limited - not a party boat by any means. Broadway show, guitar singer and string trio however were worth going to.

Rough ride on way back when they throttle up, with substantial vibration in cabin.

Had a feeling of being nickel and dimed throughout the entire trip.

On and off boarding was not a disaster but close. 3 hours to More get our luggage coming on board and 2 hour wait for bus to leave on departure. Take my advice, skip the transfer and take a cab to the airport if needed on departure.

Won't be repeating with this cruise line. Less

Cabin review: Celebrity Summit Concierge Class Continental Deck (2) 7212

Large and roomy but noisy and lots of vibration due to engine below. Threadbare furnishings.
