To introduce our son-in-laws to cruising we booked a short 7-day trip to Alaska on Sapphire Princess. While we provided them with mini-suites, we booked for the first time a suite in the stern of the ship. It was the perfect time to try that unique opportunity and we'd do it again with the right cruise. Alaska was the perfect cruise.

D739 sheltered us from the wind and rain common for all 7 days of our cruise. Our kid's balconies were difficult to enjoy and so they spent most of their time in our room. We had no problems with the motion which had been anticipated. From our vantage point we had 180 degree vistas but the best part was being sheltered from the elements. For a warm-weather cruise I would not recommend this location.

The service was excellent as always on Princess. Alex, our server at Sabatini's was the best of all. Rui our server was wonderful. There was nothing wrong with this cruise at all.

Cabin Review

Cabin PH

D739 was great for this cruise. The service was excellent. The fears of motion and smells never materialized. Sapphire Princess is a large ship so that if you need to go forward for any reason, you have a long way to go. Hence you can skip the gym!
