It saddens me to say this but some people go on vacation to gripe, thats the only way i can explain the negative reviews. This was my wife and i first cruise and it did not disappoint. We embarked out of san juan and while the flight there was one to forget that has nothing to do with the cruise so i wont hold that against the cruise line like the review a few down about the horrid flight. Ill tell you what you need to know. Arrived at the airport and was at the cruise ship within 20 minutes of getting our bags.. Cost us $23 to get there which is overpriced but its the start of vacation so pay it and go. I read previous reviews so we went straight to the CVS to get our bottle of wine and our 12 pack of non alcoholic drinks. CVS was packed but we managed to get in and out pretty fast. We also put some extra cokes in my carryon backpack. It never got checked so it wasnt a problem. We breezed onto the boat and made our way to a quick dinner as we were starved. The room was nice, small but nice. Everything was neat and organized. After dinner our bags were already in our room. We unpacked. The room while small actually has a surprising amount of storage. There was no fridge in our room but they managed to keep ice in the ice bin everyday. There was soap and shampoo in our dispensers though ive heard people complain there was not. we never experienced any of those problems. Our bed was made each night and our bathroom was kept tidy for us thanks to those wonderful workers.

FOOD--- The complaints on the food, i just dont get. Dinner was fantastic, way above the standards i had expected.. Every night i felt like i was being fed like i was a king.. the waiters were terrific and i cant even begin to tell you how good the food was at dinner. yes dinner took almost an hour and a half every night but it didnt matter b/c the food was great and we were lucky enough to sit with a couple we really enjoyed getting to know. food was lobster tails and shrimp and filet and fresh fish and soups and salads and all sorts of good things.. Dessert every night. Warm chocolate melting cake was to die for.. i was spoiled.. Breakfast was great, fresh fruits and cereal and breads and the normal buffet type breakfast. The passo guava juice is so delicious. its a must try. I had read reviews about the pizza not being good at the 24 hour stand, i enjoyed it. more gourmet then say pizza hut but delicious none the less.. only ate the regular buffet once it was good, i have no complaints. The food was good and the nice dinners were absolutely wonderful and delicious..The sushi bar every night was great, i always got 2 plates(they give you 3 pieces) and then went back for another. The drinks on the boat are way overpriced. that would be only real complaint. I did smell smoke a couple times but mainly in the casino area and never overpowering or even strong anywhere else on the boat..Hot tubs were more warm then hot. but that didnt bother us and all the shows were neat. .the magic show was neat, a show called vroom and the comedy were all good. we did those shows on thur, fri, sat and spent the first half of the week relaxing and turning in early to a movie..there was some noise but nothing that kept us up and i am a very light sleeper. Sorry, if you are looking for the complaining type its not me, its vacation roll with the punches.. now for the islands..
