If anyone is hesitating (or second guessing their booking)about vacationing on the Infinity before dry dock, please put all fears to rest. My wife and I are the pickiest vacationers, period. We were pleased with this cruise and while problems can happen on any vacation, I think if people are saying the food stinks on Celebrity, or that this ship is in bad need of refurbishment, well I guess I was going to word this differently but just let me say we don't see eye-to-eye.
First of all--the service--still first rate. I'm the grumpiest guy in the world and I couldn't walk anywhere on the ship without being "accosted" by some cheerful crew member who went out of their way to make my vacation more pleasant. This goes from the people in guest relations, to the CC cabin attendant Daniel, to the bartenders (ooh, kept them busy with the premium package) to the best "anytime" dining staff at sea.
Speaking of the dining, if you choose select dining, have Lindsay (hostess) set you up with Archie and Olena and Alex. They will spoil you to death, attend to any special dietary needs, even cook up special dishes for you that aren't on the menu (and you didn't even order)! We had dishes delivered to us via room service for breakfast that were not on any menu. Also--never a wait to be seated for anytime dining--even when asking for a particular wait staff. Try that on other lines!
Nice cabin, roomy. Only drawbacks are the deck overhang from above (sometimes interfering with photo-taking but not a deal-breaker) and the window washing cart is between 9067 and 9069 (also not a deal-breaker).
