This cruise was definitely worth the money! The ship was spotless which is near impossible for holding over 6,000 passengers. While some of the crew were a bit short, they were overall super friendly and there was always someone around you could talk to if you had questions. We had four people in our party and split between two cabins, one with a balcony facing Central Park and the other with a balcony facing the ocean. Both cabins were spacious and the extra bonus is that they are made up twice a day. One of the best parts of the cruise was the cruise director and activities manager Mike and Amy. They were at every show or dance and truly made the experience better. They were always enthusiastic and were willing to answer any question.

I greatly recommend going to some if not all of the shows( the only one we did not go to was the water one). They were all beautifully done and you could tell how much work was put into them. You should book reservations before the trip More because some of the show times fill up at the beginning of the cruise. One of the few downfalls of the cruise was the teen club. While it was a perfect place for younger teens to hang out, there were two 17 yr olds in our party so it wasn't really good for them. It seems to cater to a younger age. The outdoor areas were super nice and even with so many people there was always space to lay out by the pool. The gym was large and there was always space to work out.

The dining choices were extensive and the food was a lot better than our expectations. Our favorite was the pizza place which was open until 3 am. I recommend buying the soda package especially if you have kids because it was super nice being able to get soda quick without having to pay. The specialty dining(which comes with a cover charge) was also great but you have to make reservations early because they fill up quick. Less

Port and Shore Excursions

We didn't make any excursion reservations for Nassau so there were few things for us to do. We took a cab to the Atlantis hotel about 10 minutes from the port and used their gorgeous beaches. This wasn't the best place for shopping but the people were very friendly. Had some of the best food of the trip at a restaurant right outside of the dock.

We were at the Dutch side of St. Maarten which seemed to be the more touristy area. The beach and views were gorgeous. There was a lot of the shopping but it seemed that every other store was a jewelry store due to the fact that St. Maarten is the diamond capital of the caribbean. Unless you book an excursion you definitely don't need the time period you are given on the island.

We took an excursion to St.Johns which seemed a popular trend which turned out to be perfect. I wish we were able to spend more time there but both the island has the typical tropical look that I think most people imagine the when they think of the caribbean. There is a large shopping area but make sure to budget your time because the heavy traffic could cause you to be late to the ship.
