I have to say that this was the best holiday my husband and I have experienced . We booked the cruise for my 50Th birthday, as first time cruisers we were both sceptical os booked a cruise and stay package , the 1st week on the Dream , second week at the Platja D'Or hotel Alcudia, and did not know what to expect . From the start to finish we had an amazing time . The embarkation process ran as smooth as clockwork, we had booked an outside plus cabin on deck 10 , found the cabin very spacious with plenty of storage, kept immaculate at all times . The entertainment from all staff and crew started from early in the morning till as late as you wanted . We used to go and see the shows in the Broadway lounge every evening , these were of West End theatre standard ,the Medusa lounge was a second stop every night to join in the entertainment there with strum jam the resident band and the entertainment team, you could also choose to listen to the musicians in the Argo lounge , or the pianist in the piano bar nightly , then to round off the evening disco. The cruise news which you had every day to your cabin would give you all the itinerary for the following day, as well as useful hints and tips regarding the ports you would be visiting daily. We had the all inclusive package , found this very good as our bill at the end of the cruise was £23.00 , this was for suncream and travel bands, I found that I didn't have very good sea legs on the 1st day at sea, after I had the bands I was fine .

We did two excursions, Sorrento and Pompeii, the guide was really informative , we both found this a most enjoyable day , although very hot . Our second trip was Rome and the Colosseum , this was a very hot and tiring day , but again very informative and seen a lot of magnificent places . We did our own thing at Trapani Sicily , Corsica and Barcelona , three lovely places.

The best things about this holiday were , all the staff from Captain Roy , Paul and the entertainment team , the live musicians, all the waiters, bar staff and cabin stewards who were so helpful and friendly made this an amazing experience. If you were that way inclined you could eat and drink 24/7 , be warned you need to take looser clothes for the end of the week to compensate .

Cabin Review

Cabin DE

Outside Plus cabin deck 10 .

Very comfortable double bed . Large double wardrobe , hanging space behind a curtain for long dresses, trousers. Three long draws , three small draws in the dressing table . Very good shower , slamm bath , adequate size bathroom . A good size picture window . Deck 10 was central to the two pool decks and buffet restaurants which were on deck 9 and 11 . Also close to deck 8 where the entertainmant was.The corridor was very quiet as there are not many cabins on deck 10 , so very quiet every night .
