Just back from the Western Mediterranean Cruise. Just amazing all round. In fact, we worry that we'll measure any future cruises with other lines against it, and they'll come up wanting....

From the moment you come aboard you are treated like an old friend. The pixiedust is all around - not a trace of cynicism from a single crew member (even when the kids are annoying). In fact some of the crew seem to be having almost as good a time as the passengers. You know it's Disney when an engineer from the depths of the ship, clad in a white Disney coverall spotted in oil passes by, catches your eye and SINCERELY wishes you a "Good Morning" with a smile (I'm as cynical as they come and I was totally taken in).

We didn't do all of the Port Adventures, we were more selective than most, but we still saw Rome (hot, big queues), Pompeii (hot, large tour groups) and Sorrento (beautiful), Valetta ( sunny and gorgeous) and the Nice/Monaco/Monte Carlo area (getting ready for the wedding, but still well worth a visit). Food - great, drink - expensive, (but hey, I'm on vacation), entertainment - absolutely second to none, with extremely high production values. The Oceaneers Lab was just perfect - we let our 8-yr old sign herself in and out and she had a fantastic time; at no stage did we feel she was unsafe (the Mickey Tag they all wear on boarding sees to that!) and neither did we feel that as adults we couldn't get some "me time" in the spa or adults only pool/coffee shop. One thing - do not think you can do this cheap - your bill quickly adds up especially if you're a drinker. But do it if you can afford it - its a must!

Cabin Review

Cabin 9A

Tidy and just right for two adults and two kids. Forward of the ship, handy for everything, far enough away from the noisier spaces and having a nice view through the BIG porthole.
