I was looking forward to this cruise. The cabin and balcony was of good size. The cabin was very dirty and tired looking and in need of a bit of maintenance. Some of the drawers were broken and the cabinet by the bed came away from the wall in rough weather and the drawers fell out and had to tape up with elastoplast.
In the rough weather the ship was on an uphill or downhill lean and when you had a shower more water was in the bathroom than in the shower. The captain did nothing to make the ship upright and comfortable for the passengers during the rough weather.
The entertainment was average except the magician and the singers had lovely voices.
The food was average and we had our evening meals at the "Waterfront Restaurant" but after a week the food was rather monotonous. The service was excellent and very friendly.
Norfolk Island was one of the ports to visit, but we were unable to get there. We heard that it is hard to land tenders there and they have not been there for sometime, maybe it should be taken of their itinerary. Don't advertise what you cannot deliver. So an extra boring day at sea with no alternative port to visit.
The daytime entertainment was bingo, making " paper flowers and quills" and the occasional interesting talk.
The complement toiletries were 3 small bars of soap. P&O is money grabbing dirty tired old ship. The pokies were "state of the art" that it appears the money was spent there not anywhere else.
I would never travel with P&O again as it did not deliver on what it advertised .
