We have now been to Alaska three times and find that it has to be one of the most relaxing cruises that we take. We have done many excursions thru the years (and highly recommend that you do). This particular trip, we decided just to relax and enjoy the ship and some walking.

We arrived one day early (always do) and stayed at the Inn at the Market at Pike Place. We had a town car pick us up thru the hotel. On time and excellent. We checked in to this wonderful hotel and found everything during our stay to be fantastic. We look forward to staying there again on our next trip to Seattle. Staying right in the market made it great for walking thru one of America's great markets. Had great meals at Etta's, Matt's at the Market and Elliot's Oyster Bar. Having a Starbucks coffee and piroshky finished off a nice day in Seattle.

We embarked on the ship around 2:00 p.m. and got right on (we are Elite members' status so that certainly helped). Always better as the early arrivals tend to be crowded with everyone clambering to get on ships and get to that first buffet meal! Our cabin on the Ninth deck was just right for us. We always take a few extra hangers, which helps, especially on an Alaska cruise. Now, I must say, I had trepidations about the Infinity as it is getting ready to go into refurbishment. We were pleasantly surprised how good the ship looked. Yes, if you really look around, you will see some paint peeling outside, but over all\, she looked good. The ship has great spaces, and like all really good cruise ships, never seems to be very crowded. We found the bars and lounges basically empty (too bad as very nice and good entertainment). The Constellation lounge seemed to be the busiest, but only on nights with food! We enjoyed the Champagne bar!
