This cruise was wonderful for those seeking a relaxing vacation and gave us an opportunity to see some unique ports. We arrived in the New York area early to do some touring. We stayed in Newark because the cost of a hotel is much more reasonable and you can take public transportation into New York for as few dollars. The day of embarkation we went to the Newark Airport to use our Princess transfers. The transfer went smoothly. Check in at the port took about 15 minutes and was very smooth. our cabin was ready when we arrived.

Ports: We enjoyed each port. Prince Edward Island has alot of amazing things to see but you will need a car. We rented from Enterprise and when we got to port the visitor center called Enterprise to come pick us up. The island has very relaxed driving and the directions as simple. Renting a car is much cheaper than taking a cruise tour. Halifax again was great we rented a car from National which has an office near the port. The visitor guides helped us find the rental office. Again it is much cheaper to rent a car than go on cruise tours. Halifax has lots of things to do. In Bar Harbor we just walked around and saw the city. There are lots of things to do and many tours you can book right in town. In Boston we rode the subways to see the JFK Presidential Museum as well as Harvard and downtown Boston. All of these locations are located on the redline and there is a bus that picks up 100 ft from the cruise terminal. The cost is $2.00 for each run. Newport is a great city and again we used a public bus to see the mansions. The bus runs to all the mansions and only costs $6.00 for the entire day. No need for cruise tours.

The ship: We thought the food was great. We had assigned seating in the Coral dining room. Each night there were different choices and we tried many different things. For breakfast and lunch we ate at the buffets. The food was great and while thinsg get crowded the staff tried hard to make things nice. Once we collected our food at the buffet a staff member was waiting to help you find a seat and to get your drinks for you. Yes this ship is big and crowded but we often found ourselves walking alone on the decks. Our room was amazing we were on deck ten with a balcony. The balcony was huge. For some reason deck ten seems to have a bigger balcony than other decks. The only complaint I have about our cruise was disembarkation. Once we got off the ship we were supposed to be transferred back to Newark by Princess. Nobody seemed to know which bus was going to which airport. We would load our luggage on to one bus only to be told to unload the luggage and move it to a new bus. Then that bus was already full of people so we had to unload our luggage again. All the staff from from the bus company were rude and of little to no help. We disembarked at 10:00 and did not finally leave the port until 11am. This wrecked and otherwise great vacation.

Cabin review: Balcony

C735 is towards the back of the ship. The room is nice and the balcony is huge. The bathroom and shower are small but seem this seems to be true on most cruise ships.
