The Carnival Fascination is a nice ship. It has been refurbished. The cabins are a nice size. The bathrooms are well laid out and don't feel too cramped. The bedding is comfortable. Our room steward took good care of the room and it was always clean, with fresh linens and ice. What was missing??? It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator and a hair dryerin the cabin. The steward will bring you a dryer, but they are not great (bring your own from home). Also, bring a small power strip as I only found one electrical outlet in the cabin. I would also suggest you spend a little more and go for a cabin on a higher deck for convenience sake.

The food is just okay. We found that the food was better prepared in the dining room for breakfast and lunch. Service is excellent. Dinners were pretty good. Selections are a bit limited. The fruit was excellent as were the desserts. The warm chocolate melting cake with ice cream is delicious. RC ships have better food.

The one pool (lido deck) is very small and always crowded. The Serenity area for adults is nice and has two hot tubs. It was rarely crowded and the lounge chairs were quite comfortable. There is quite a lot of seating on the lido deck for relaxing. Also, on deck 12 there is a nice little track for walking. The first port of call was Key West. They need to allow more time in the port. You have to be back on board the ship by 2:30 PM which doesn't give you much time to explore KW. Nassau was okay, but the ship doesn't get in to port until noon and leaves by 10 PM. Would be better to have a full day, not afternoon and evening.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6A

R220 - lowest deck, cheapest oceanview category. Aft, starboard. The cabin was quiet, nice sized, with a nice sized bathroom. A bit far away from everything so if you have trouble walking this is not a good choice of cabin. Good closet and drawer space. No hairdryer or mini fridge. The window is nice. The lighting is good.
