I will try to capture some of the helpful highlights. I am 46 yrs old, wife is 43, and we have two sons ages 15 and 12. We reside in a suburb outside Pittsburgh, Pa. and fortunately I have family in NJ to drive us to port and offset the 210.00 parking cost. We cruise for the entertainment, family fun, and the chance to meet friends and travel to beautiful ports. Coming in my wife and I knew that this cruise was not for the ports, we've been to Port Canaveral, Great Stirrup Cay, and Bahamas; it was to enjoy the ship and all it had to offer. This is our sixth Norwegian cruise, we had gone away in favor of Celebrity and RCCl, but we've read nice reviews so it was time to try Norwegian again. It was awesome and we really enjoyed ourselves. So here goes review, and thanks to the many friends at Cruise Critic that we met at Meet and Greet that inspired this review.

EMBARKATION and DISEMBARKATION not much to say here as Latitudes members embarkation was a breeze, and I recommend to all to utilize Express disembarkation, so the kids have to lug a few bags off ship, 15 minutes is all it took.

Impression of the Jewel: We loved the ship's layout, eating venues primarily in aft, and entertainment in front. Ship shows a little wear from age but is very clean.
