I will keep this as simple as possible as I simply am now covered up in work. Our only other cruise was to Alaska back in '04, also with Princess. We enjoyed that cruise and thought we would see the "other side". Overall, we had a great time.We left out of NY and got to spend our first time in the big Apple. We had a blast there but you can't do NY justice on a day and a half. We hit the high spots and hope to return. We left on a Monday afternoon and spent that night and the next day at sea. We were supposed to visit Sydney, NS for our first port but due to "gale force 8 winds", the Capt. was forced to by pass Sydney for safety reasons. Thus, we had an unexpected and disappointing extra day at sea.We then went to what I will call the "unremarkable" Charlottetown, NS. There was nothing really wrong with Charlottetown, I'm just a bit surprised that cruise ships stop there. We took a most disappointing "nature cruise". We were expecting to watch lobster being harvested but we got an hour bus ride where the highlight was a history of potato farming in the area, followed by a boat ride to see some mussel farms and about a dozen seals. No lobster fishing at all. Then an hour ride back with more potato tidbits. The town itself is quaint but you can see it all in a couple of hours. We then had another day at sea on our way to Halifax which is a wonderful place. We took a tour bus out to Peggy's Cove which is not to be missed. Unfortunately, our time in Halifax was limited and we missed much of the other sights simply because we didn't have the time. It is a cool city though. We then headed to Bar Harbor, ME which is probably the prettiest place I've ever visited. Part of my enjoyment of BH was due to the fact that it was the first day we saw any sunshine. The first portion of the trip was cold, gray and foggy. We awoke to BH to blue bird skys, cool temps and it was quite windy but we were thrilled to see the sun and the remarkable vistas there. The town is a joy to visit and I hope to return with my own vehicle so I can take in more of the seascapes.Off then to Boston which is amazing. We hired a private tour guide there and I cannot describe how wonderful his tour was. He is a retired college history professor and I could have spent a week with him. But we took a 6 hour world win tour of historic Boston and we were sad to see how time flew by. We did not have time to visit Quincy Market but I didn't care as I had see so many other amazing places. Our last stop was Newport, RI. We took an electric bicycle ride through this pretty area. The seascapes, while different than BH, were equally gorgeous. I just wish we had stopped more for photos. We didn't have time to visit any of the historic homes but the tour was wonderful just the same. Now a few comments about the Caribbean Princess:1) The boat is very stable and comfortable.2) Overall the crew is very accommodating. Our room steward was amazing as he seemed to always be there when we needed him and he always had a smile on his face. We would leave for 5 minutes and when we returned, he had straitened up our room.3) Wait staff in the any time dining area was just OK.4) Overall the food was very good and the only disappointing dishes we had were steaks. They weren't bad, just not up to par as the other offerings. Best dish I had was Jerk Chicken. I didn't expect it to be so good so I was pleasantly surprised.5) Getting off the ship was at best, chaotic. We got through customs OK but then getting the bus transfer to the airport was the worst. A crowd of buses and no one in charge to get them loaded. Princess should be ashamed for this.Post any questions and I will attempt to answer them.

Cabin BA

This cabin was located on deck 11, mid ship right next to the elevators. I worried about this but from now on, I will get a room near the elevators. So convenient and the noise was never an issue.
