This was our third trip to Bermuda and our third time on the Summit. Leaving out of Bayonne is great for us. We live in the Philadelphia area and going by car to the port instead of having to fly is so enjoyable. From the time we were dropped off till the time we were sitting in the buffet waiting for our cabin to be ready took 25 minutes. We got to the port at 11:30am and there were no lines. After having our id picture taken, we got on the shuttle bus to board the ship. This was one of our best cruises we have taken. I am having difficulty trying to write anything negative. From our cabin steward, to all the wait staff, and hotel people, the entertainment, and the Captain everyone was friendly and if you needed anything, very helpful. Ate at Normandie and the food and service were excellent. I did enjoy the MDR food. Had Select seating and it worked well for my husband and me. We were able to sit at the same table at 6:30pm. Met a wonderful couple and we were able to meet them and sit with them most of the time. The last sea day was the grand buffet brunch. It was wonderful. Have had it before and this one was the best. My husband took his tuxedo for Formal night and we were surprised how few men are wearing tuxs. Most are in dark suits. We had a concierge class cabin and I have been spoiled. For the people who could not find the pillow menu, it's in a small book with the two other magazines in the cabin(on the rack next to the desk). If you can't find the book, ask your cabin steward. Also, the bottle of Champagne you get can be taken up to the dining room and they do not charge you a corkage fee. You are entitled to a very nice zippered tote bag and another tote bag. Both were in the cabin the first day. Enjoyed the soft towels and bathrobe, I like a particular pillow and our cabin steward was able to get it for me by dinner time. One of my major complaints last year was the coffee in the buffet. It was awful. Whatever they did the coffee, it was much better. A couple of times my husband's coffee was too strong for him and the waiter Svelin in the buffet came along and got my husband a better cup of coffee. I am a big coffee drinker and was glad for the good coffee. Also, the buffet has been improved from last year. Ate breakfast and lunch at the buffet most of the time. Svelin will be going to the Silhouette in July. Was invited to a bridge tour (loved it) and the galley tour (which I had done before). I was impressed with the bridge tour. Thanks cruise critic for the invites. Entertainment was wonderful and every night the shows were crowded. Met wonderful cruise critic hosts. Thanks for all your information and your friendliness. In Bermuda, we bought a three day bus and ferry pass. Only used the passes for the first two days. Once you learn how to use the bus and ferry, it's very easy to get around. The first day we took the ferry back and forth to Hamilton and walked around the town. If any one is looking for WIFI in Hamilton, go to the library. It's free. Just need your own computer. Took the ferry to St. Georges on the second day, and then took the bus to the Swizzle Inn. After lunch we took the bus back to Hamilton, then got on another bus back to the dockyard. You can also take the ferry back to the dockyard, but we wanted to see the scenery. The third day we just wandered around the dockyard for the morning and lunch at the Frog and Onion. Food ok. Disembarkation went very smoothly with no complications. Our suitcases were very easy to find and the lines moved quickly going through customs. This was a very relaxing trip for us. Thank you Celebrity for making it one of our best trips.
