This was my first cruise with P&O, but I have cruised previously with Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity.

Embarkation at Southampton was an absolute joke. The whole town was gridlocked, and this was only due to all the traffic at the port. The staff parking the cars at the terminal were plenty, but totally disorganised, and inefficient. It took over 2 hours to get into the terminal when we were stuck only 3 minutes drive away. P&O are totally oblivious to the car parking, and have no interest, or pay any attention. There were hundreds of cars still trying to park, and we left my husband with the car, and the suitcases, and went into the terminal to use the loo, and to find out what was happening. Completely clueless staff, and I'm not going to go on about it, as I was determined not to get annoyed at the situation, and let it spoil the holiday!

So, we eventually got on the boat. We had a suite right at the back of the boat, which was lovely. Really large, great balcony, two patio doors, and a separate bath, and shower.

Great room, lovely bathroom. Quiet too as it's at the end of the hallway.
