We have sailed the Connie before and had a fabulous time--so our expectations were high and met.The service was excellent! kudos to our room steward Melvin and his asst Hermann!! We had select dining and enjoyed the flexibility. Enjoyed the repartee with Claudia, Johnny Nieto and asst waiter Yash! Looked forward to seeing them each evening. We arrived in Amsterdam a day before the cruise and walked all over the city---we had modest expectaions but enjoyed it more than we thought. Did Randy Roys redlight tours---would highly recommend it.We really needed another day. We stayed @ the Park Plaza Victoris (through Priceline) and were very satisfied. It is located across the street from the Train Station so it was close to practically everything --and quiet! Our first stop was Warnemunde. we took the train to Rostock and did a walking tour with Annie --very informative. we then took the train to Schwerin to see the castle ---had a great time --toured the castle and then visited the Beer fest that was happening next door---tried a Belgian Cherry Beer that was FABULOUS! Our next stop was Stockholm and VASA ---we really enjoyed this museum(it was darker than I anticipated) we probably spent too much time there we only had an hour to walk around Gamla Stan. Used the HOHO Boats. Next was Helsinki. We took the Celebrity shuttle and then went to the Fortress via the ferry. Really enjoyed walking through the submarine! The video was good also! Then we went back to the mainland-walked to The Church in the Rock and stopped for a local beer on the way back to the shuttle. the next 2 days were St Petersburg with Alla Tours. What a whirlwind. There was soo much to see in a limited amout of time. It seems that red tape is still a problem there.getting into certain museums , boats etc --always took longer than they should have. My favorite was the Peterhof gardens. But also loved the Church of the spilled blood and Catherines Palace. Tallinn ---what a welcome relief -after St Petersburg. It is a quaint medieval town. Enjoyed walking it's streets! Copenhagen---Didn't know what to expect---the museums were closed (it was a Monday and a Holiday)We did a walking tour with an expat from NJ who dressed as Hans Christian Anderson. He told us a lot about there society.(during our tour I spotted Pierce Brosnan across the street ---I waved and of course he recognized me and waved back! LOL) We had 4 sea days ---enjoyed them all. we had our cruise critic meeting on the 1st sea day and was great meeting a lot of people that had posted. The NASA lecturer was very good ! Just some little things. The only currency that I used was Euros and credit cards. Did not have a problem. We had an inside cabin and slept like babies---very quiet and dark. I am glad that we decided to do this cruise when we did---I will say that my feet did ache a bit with all of the walking on cobblestones---but that is why they invented hot tubs!! Thank you Celebrity and guest relations officer Cameron & Cruise Critic liason Allan (Sorry if I spelled his name incorrectly) You can not go wrong sailing on the Constellation!!! Almost forgot ---I was very disappointed that Perry Grant was not on our cruise--however we enjoyed Richard Rubin very much. I felt that his act got stronger each night! "Open the door, Richard" Shoutout to Randy in Michael's Club!
