Birthday Cruise of a lifetime on Celebrity Eclipse June 4th

Sail Date: June 2011
Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean
Embarkation: Southampton

Was very nervous before we went on cruise. need not have worried. embarkation was a thrill champagne etc. wow!. Stateroom was gorgeous but one bed not enough three singles soon brought to us. tea making facilities most welcome. shower room was great for my wheelchair bound daughter. our attendants Jose and William treated us wonderful. every crew member from Captain downwards were so polite and caring.

Que the entertainment director was friendly. Food in moonlight sonata exquisite. our waiting staff a joy. Andreea and myoman (pronounced yeoman made my birthday wonderful. so did Karol and Leon and Dennis and Daryl. nothing too much. and they cut up Lisa's food for her. the trips ashore were easy access why do our transport here not cater for disabled when the other countries do.

if something was not right it was quickly sorted. Theatre was wheelchair friendly.

every where was so elegant. we want to come back for another trip. wonder what the Baltic trip is More like.

Well done too to Iulia Barabus for looking after our trips.

only downside was 15% on top of every drink that we ordered and we felt we had to add a tip. on top! and for us that do not drink a lot the drinks packages too expensive. they have a rule you cannot share these packages with members of your own family so three packages would be too expensive. water was almost 5 dollars and we spent a fortune on water well over 50 dollars on these alone. Less

Cabin review: Celebrity Eclipse Deluxe Ocean View W/Veranda Continental Deck (6) 7141

7141 is wheelchair friendly lovely shower room clean and spacious. but please when three people order a stateroom offer either a double bed and a proper single bed not the sofa put u up! We did get three single beds after saying the sofa bed was not right for us or daughter it was too low. what great service they attended to this problem in minutes well done Jose. love the private balcony there was often not room on deck 14 for sunbathing so this was great addition. love the chocolate on our pillow every night clean towels too. think the water far too expensive especially as we have tea making items in room.

Port and Shore Excursions

why did the ticket say Florence and Pisa? this was disappointing only for the fact they did not take us to Pisa . when on our tickets it said so. misleading a bit

But it was lovely in Florence had fun.

its not wheelchair friendly all though we wouldn't know. again couldn't get on tender too dangerous. but enjoyed the day on ship with the rock in background

our favourite place of all relaxed and the driver took us to a wonderful old monastery /cafe he was attentive and kind.

This trip did enjoy very much. our driver took us to Notre Dam garde. he was so attentive and kind we enjoyed the view. we were then driven to the town and left for about 40 minutes free time. it was good sitting in the one of the cafe's. good English spoken by many

really enjoyed this place again cannot fault transport

if I could put -1 I would. this was worst trip of all. the guide dumped us at a little chapel for two hours he said. Then the others unbeknown to us demanded that they go to the shops instead they did not tell us, although we were across the road where he told us to be. One said she wanted to go to the ship. so I thought they had done that. I can only advise those with wheelchairs and hard of walking, insist just a short stay at the hotel/chapel and then driver to come and get them and drive them to the shops. because it is quite a walk. but please do tell everyone on the coach this time.
