Ship Facts: Norwegian Epic Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Norwegian Epic Deck Plans
BEST CRUISE EVER
Our fanmily consisits of 4. Two adults (41 & 40) and two boys (14 & 9). We chose the NCL Epic because it seemed like an interesting ship and it had an appealing schedule. We are very glad we did!

We had cruised on other ships before and immediately appreciated the "Freestyle" choices we had for dining with the Epic. Our boys were on a seperate diet and schedule than we were, which gave all of us what we wanted.

THE SHIP EXPERIENCE:

We were impressed with the comfort of the cabins. From the smart design of separating shower and toilet, to the branded matress, that made us feel on "Heavenly beds on the Seas".

The food was a very nice surprise. It was a serious upgrade from my previous cruises. Not only in presentation but also in taste and variety.

The service on board was excellent, except the employees on the retail stores who come too agressive to sell their goods on board.

All of us enjoyed the pool area and had a blast on the slides, specially the "Bowl". We skiped one port tour and stayed behind to enjoy the pool area.

Safety and higiene aboard the ship was great. Everywhre you went they had sanitizers to make sure no germs were being spread.

THE CITIES WE VISITED:

Instead of booking the tours through NCL, we decided to book the tours on our own.

For Livorno (Florence and Pisa)we chose Share a shore excursion in Italy.com. We were vey pleased with the service we received from Maurizio, since he was very detailed in the history of Italy as well as the region of Florence. Maurizzio was able to avoid major trafficc jams and zipped through local areas that larger buses can't. He gave us a one on one experience that a large charter bus could not afford. I highly recommend Maurizzio and the company he represents.

For Naples (Pompei, Sorrento, Positano) we chose Italy limousine.com. This tour we did not share with any other party and had a private Mercedes Benz for the 4 of us. Our driver, Mario Gargiulo, was great. He took us to the best locations in Sorrento and Positano, were the locals eat, drink and hangout. Once again we avoided the large tourist crowds and experienced the best of the region. This guy went above and beyond to show us his country very proudly and knowladgeble.

OVERALL:

I would do it all over again the same way we did it this time. Everything was flawless from the start to the end. Thanks for a memorable vacation to NCL, Share and Excursion In Italy and Italy Limousines.
