Ship Facts: Oasis of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Oasis of the Seas Deck Plans
Simply the Best
After reading all of the reviews and looking at all of videos of this ship, we could not wait to take it. We arrived at the port at 12:30 and boarded the ship by 1:00 pm. The check in process took about 10 minutes tops. RC got this right.

You enter the ship on the Royal Promenade deck. All I can say is this ship is beautiful and Spacious. There are times you feel like you are at your local mall, not a cruise ship. We ate our first meal at the "Park Cafe", very nice place to eat a quick sandwich or a salad. With so much to see we began our tour of the entire ship, or at least we tired.

Our rooms where ready at 3:00 so we went their to unpack. The room is on the small side compared to other ships, but we only sleep there. Now the shower is way to small, even for average size people. Storage space is OK. Our balcony was nice, wish there where lounge chairs that reclined. The bed is very comfortable. Before I continue this next statement is very important and a must."BOOK ALL OF YOUR SHOWS AND RESTAURANTS BEFORE YOU BOARD". If you don't you may not see a show or get to eat at some very nice restaurants.

Personally I feel we the customer would be better off if there are NO reservations for shows or restaurants. I spoke with several people and they did not pre-book and could not see some of the shows. We stood in line for two days trying to see the comedy show. We saw it on our second try. What ever happened to "first come, first serve".

All of the shows are great and top quality. Our favorite show was the Ice show, its a must see. Try to see them all. The cruise director was the best ever. He was so full of high energy and boy could he dance his butt off. Book ahead, book ahead, you've been told.

This ship is a smart ship. Wall digital finders, you will never feel lost. The easiest ship to learn your way around. Face recognition for the pictures. All of the pic the ship take of you goes into a Folder and your number is on your ship card. It's a great concept. You can view your account on your TV in your room, you never need to go to customer service for your balance.

Our favorite place to hang out each day was the "Solarium". There is always plenty of chairs and lounges. The pool is small, but the jacuzzis are more than enough room. The food in the Solarium cafe is Healthy food and that is OK too. The solarium is for adults only and that was nice. We took several naps there.

The Aqua Theater is great, shows at night and games in the day. The "Boardwalk is nice and spacious with many food eateries and shops. One of our favorite meals was at "The Seafood Shack", try the crab legs and shrimp. The sport deck is spacious and nice. We enjoyed Zip-line and wave pools. Golf looked like it was fun.

The one negative thing I can say about the Oasis is the Food quality and taste.

simply put there is none. The food on this ship is "sub-pare at best. This was very disappointing. We ate at Chops and 150 Central Park. Don't waste your money. The main dinning room was just as good and didn't cost us extra money.

The main dinning room was just OK, nothing special at all. But the waiter staff was great. There are no mid-night buffet and we did not miss them at all.

Back to more positive things. There is so much to do on this ship you really need more than seven days to enjoy and see it all. We only passed through the very large and spacious casino, too much smoke and we don't gamble. We ended our nights at the club "Dazzles", they played our kind of music, and the club is beautiful also. We went to Karaoke one night, that was fun also,

The shopping was just OK, nothing special, not much of a variety. Overall we give this ship 2 thumbs way up. We recommend this ship for people who enjoy doing a variety of things, and don't mind walking. There is so much to do.

"Central Park" is one of our favorite place also. There where times when it seemed like we where the only people in the park. Very peaceful and nice. We even heard and saw birds flying. On a cruise ship, just awesome.

In closing we will definitely take this cruise again, or we will take the Allure next time. Either way RC got this ship right! can't wait till next time.
