Ship Facts: Monarch of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Monarch of the Seas Deck Plans
Super 8 Motel with a Buffett
Just a little background. We are in our 30's, married, two kids, professional jobs, and living in the Midwest. This was our second cruise, but our fourth time vacationing out of the country.

Rooms: SUPER Small. Don't get your hopes up because it's Royal Caribbean. Literally, if you don't have enough room at the end of your bed for yours shoes.

Food: Imagine your local cheap buffet but half the people are in swimsuits. The Windjammer is the easiest place on the ship to get breakfast and lunch, so it's always packed. The dining room food at night was good.

Service: The room attendant was nice the first day, there after I think he was done with us. He did a good job and left us the usual towel animals come to back to in the room. Food people and bar staff were average to above average.

Excursions:

Bahamas- We have already done the dolphins thing, and planned to snorkel and relax on the beach at Coco Cay the next day. So we did the Atlantis excursion and paid extra for the beach. Highly recommend Atlantis. Super high end resort and has all the amenities. We actually might stay there for our next vacation. Also, eat at the Fish Fry if you can, it's truely a local experience. Goldie's or Big 10.

Coco Cay- Enjoy a picture perfect beach. Snorkeling was just okay. Not a lot fish. Drinks are good.

Overall, we would never book a this trip again, UNLESS it was mega cheap to free. OR if a bunch of couples just wanted to party for a weekend.
