This was our third cruise to Alaska. We came prepared for very cold weather and were pleasantly surprised to have pretty much sunny and fair skies for most of the week.
We arrived the night before in Vancouver and stayed at the Westin Wall Center next to the airport. This is a newer property and has a free shuttle to and from the airport. The room was very nice and we were quite impressed with the comfortable bed and how quiet the room is even though the airport is so close.
Embarkation was well organized but due to the long line for immigration it took us well over an hour to get on the ship. After dropping our bags in our room, we made our way to the buffet and then the sunset bar where we enjoyed the lovely afternoon trying out various martinis before we had to leave for muster drill.
Excellent location mid ship close to elevators.
