We decided to book a cruise to the Bahamas on Carnival Fantasy mostly because the cruise left from Charleston, SC. It gave my the opporunity to have a relaxed, tropical honeymoon and spend time in my favorite city.We booked a suite with a balcony. Our room was spacious enough for a stateroom. I was a little annoyed to find our balcony was right next to a staircase leading to the forward observation deck so we had many people walking by at eye level ... not very private. The room steward was wonderful, as was all the staff. Our room did flood from some rain in Freeport and Carnival refunded some of the amount we spent on our Sign & Sail card but I didn't feel like it was enough. There is only one small pool on Fantasy but there are several hot tubs which are great to relax in after returning from ports. We have late seating at dinner and the food was okay, not great. We had a couple massages and I had a mani/pedi at the spa. Everyone was very nice and friendly, but it does get exhausting having to constantly turn down suggestions of how you can keep spending more and more money!Nassau and Freeport were beautiful Carribbean destinations. We didn't book any excursions, we found our own way to the beach and had great days at both ports. Nassau did strike me as much pushier than Freeport. I couldn't sit for one minute without someone coming by asking me if I would buy something.Overall, it was a beautiful honeymoon. The relaxation level on a cruise is really something.
