We are a group of friends who have been on 5 cruises together over the same amount of years, this being the first cruise with P&O.
Compared to thomsons and royal carribean we all agreed that the meals ie,breakfast, lunch and evening meals were more enjoyable.
The prices of the wine and drinks are very reasonable, and P&O ARE NOT AS STRICT AS ROYAL CARRIBEAN ABOUT YOU BRINGING ON A BOTTLE OF WINE TO CONSUME IN YOUR CABIN.
The cabins were just about ok with plenty of storage a decent shower and decent hair dryer.
The coffee tea and biscuits are topped up by your cabin Stuart on a daily basis and your towels changed every couple of days.
We thought the entertainment was of a high standard and the on board entertainers were absolutely brilliant.
The size of the Oceana is just about right, not to big or small.
The only complaint I would have is the ship was to dock at vigo early Tuesday morning but did not dock until 11.15.
And we were supposed to sail to madeira on the following wednesday but sailed from vigo and docked the next day.
I had arranged a tour of both of these destinations so had to go to reception and rearrange the pick up times(the private tour people were very understanding and our rearranged tours went really well and were very enjoyable.I WOULD RECCOMEND TOURSOFGALACIA IF YOU WANT TO SEE VIGO AND LIDO TOURS FOR MADERIA.
This was the first time we sailed from southampton(normally fly first)and we will allways start our cruise this way from now on its so much easier.
