Read most reviews here and couldn't believe some of the negative ones, so went with open mind. Have over 25 cruises, 12 on Carnival so we like CCL.

Port Canaveral, no pain parking, boarding, etc. Glory very beautiful ship (Christmas decorations very limited). 1st time on a CONQUEST Class ship. Went to Red Sail buffet. Coming off elevator, you had to walk in rain in area of pool due to the stadium type seats. Food So-so, boat drill, etc.

Early seating in Platinum dining room special Christmas was excellent and HOT! Second night (dining room 1/2 full)ordered meal, soup brought, entree wasn't served, till 25 minutes later and was cold. Sent back -- second entree colder then 1st. Was advised to wait 15 more minutes. We left and advised maitre d' who did nothing. Third night did the Red Sail buffet -- food hot but so-so. The fish and chips area was having a problem with stove, the batter on fish came out white and pasty not golden brown. Fourth night went to the "Emerald Supper Club." Grand staircase goes up from buffet area so the fwd side is all open and noise from below buffet area goes up. Luckily we had a table to the aft end -- nice and quite -- plus no basketballs banging on upper deck. Service impressive, explaining menu. Presentation of everything done very nicely. The Escargot in a light wraparound shell with some type of asparagus paste. Entree came slightly above room temp. Wasn't worth the time or extra cash. By the way changed to Golden dining room for rest of trip. Service excellent, outstanding the way it should be, and the food was always HOT.
