Additional details

Sail Date: May 2011

Grand Princess had just been on a Refit when we boarded at Port Everglades on 5th May 2011 but it most definitely was not ready for passengers. The Refit construction workers were still working on the ship in many areas and in fact they continued to work on the ship for the entire cruise which meant there were many areas where passengers could not access because they were working.

Our cabin and balcony were very dirty when we boarded, with paint splashed in many areas. Several lifts were Out of Order when we boarded and for the entire cruise two of the lifts never did not work (mid ship and back end lift).

The Swimming Pools and Whirlpools were not open for the first 4 days. The ship smelt of Smoke in many areas which we were told,by a member of staff, was because the Construction workers were allowed to smoke in the ship.

Cabin Review

We were in a Balcony cabin on Aloha deck but as mentioned above, it was not clean when we arrived and the balcony furniture was disgusting. The small white table had paint missing from the top and down the legs and it was rusty.
