Since this was a family cruise, we economized by booking 2 inside cabins. Having cruised Holland America last year with a balcony, I thought I would feel to cramped. I'm happy to report that our inside cabin for 3 was adequate and comfortable.

Our party of five arrived in Seattle the day before we sailed. We stayed at the Double tree Arctic club downtown and arrived there by light rail from the airport. The train stop was a tenth of a mile to our hotel. I highly recommend the light rail system and this hotel. We ate ate at the Space needle for dinner and that was the perfect way to get our cruise vacation started in style. The cuisine and ambiance was off the charts!

Embarkation was smooth and we were enjoying lunch on the Lido deck by noon and were able to explore the Spirit while they were making our cabins ready. Daniel our room steward was great throughout our cruise. A word to the wise though, egg crate toppers are limited so only two out of our three got them. Power strips were not available either. You have to take turns charging your stuff. I'm not sure if Carnival will let you bring them on board either.
